CONFINEMENT

I received an email from Godma today.
on the above-mentioned subject.

1) MUST get a confinement helper for at least 2 weeks if not 1 month. do start looking for 1 now. Will get the contact for you as Virna (my staff) got her confinement lady (malaysian) from this agency & both turned out to be good. She paid about SGD1800 each.

They do provide those who comes in only in the day. (I prefer this arrangement. I wonder if they'll clean up after dogs too.) The experienced mothers in my office think you should get a full time helper (i dont want!! :( I dont like strangers staying with me! Zack will help me!) as you might feel helpless if you need help in the night. Besides, you need a lot of rest.

2) Do you have DOM at home? If not, I will buy when I go Guangzhou/Macau in May. Yomeishu is also good.

3) I will buy the chinese POH, bathing herbs, & the daily drinks that you have to take during your confinement. you dont have to worry about that.

4) Nearer to the date, you have to buy a few bottles of Sesame oil for cooking your food. You have to take a lot of that as well as old ginger. (about 2 to 3 kg) Every meal have to use ginger & sesame. (i'm breastfeeding noe... cant take ginger)

5) Try to stock up mee hoon, mee sua, oats. You have to eat 5 meals a day. (5 meals?!!! :S) Breakfast, lunch, tea break, dinner & supper. For Supper, you normally will take the herbal soup & chicken.

I love Godma to bits and i'm VERY blessed to have people who care so much for me. But....... confinement sounds terribly horrid (Evelyn said she'd rather go thru labour again than to do confinement) and it's something i'd like to shelve aside for the time being (for as long as i can) - like LABOUR.

I gotta stop Zack from talking to me about labour. He can describe it in an incredibly explicit manner. He would know cos he delivered babies before. We were joking about how he can deliver our princess at home.. he'll take all the necessary equipment from his station.. drip me up, give me laughing gas.. haha.

Today... i'm walking about with my pants completely unzipped! *giggles*
i just gotta hold it when i walk up/down the stairs so it wouldnt drop!

bump is moving up now.. and i'm getting bloated and breathless.
cant eat alot at one go now... getting uncomfy..
i'm anticipating another growth spurt :)
naughty gal was kicking my bladder just now!
and she's doing her little dance now :)


oh zack just called and said he's coming to pick me up from work *grins*
