So we celebrated our 1st Leap Day... playing tourist!
zack bought tickets to the Hippo Tours, Duck Tours and DHL hotair balloon for only 30bucks each.. a steal!
The DUCKTOUR - our boat, vessel or whatever you call it is called Katrina.. Haha.
our pretty guide.. she's really pretty! We told Marky to go on the ducktour and ask for Cheryl.. haha.
from land to sea....
we sure learnt alot.. interesting facts about the place we call home.
Bet you didnt know.......
1) The Oriental Hotel is built to the shape of an elephant.
2) Reclaiming land takes 15 - 20 years. Trees are planted and left to grow for that amount of time to strength the soil.
3) There are 5 merlions in Singapore and 1 is at Mt Faber! (ok, at least i didnt know that)
4) It took $600mil to build the Esplanade.
5) The Singapore Flyer which opens today (1 March) has already been fully booked for the next 3 months. To book an entire capsule cost 1 grand.
6) The eyes of the merlion are actually 2 teacups.
It was an hour tour. We then hop over to Bugis for the hotair balloon ride. Timing was perfect for a lovely sunset but the weather didnt cooperate. When we got there, flight was suspended cos of strong wind. Dammit. So we had to extend our ticket which expires on 29 Feb and come back another day :( But we did some window shopping at Bugis :) .. but with zack, it was REALLY WINDOW. I had to do some speed-shopping when he went to the loo.. covered 2 levels!
Spent the rest of the night with Marky and Fu.. havent join their jamming session for sometime cos it's always during weekdays and i need my sleep. It was nice.. just chatting... and i was wide awake at 1.30am! but zack was stoning by then.. haha. Ration bought some beef jerky from Taiwan.. and goodness, it was AWESOME! (SY, you have to buy me a HUGE SACK of it when you go to Taiwan k!!)
Our SATURDAY.. the usual movie and some part towing :)
we checked out CHANGI AIRPORT TERMINAL 3!

it puts me at 3kg heavier.. and i'm not in denial!

Late night on Saturday but we woke up early on SUNDAY.
Cos zack has this Musical CPR item to do at Toa Payoh Hub.
It was rainy and soooo good to sleep in on a Sunday but bcos my hub wants me to tag along, i did. See i'm so good to u! (and i know why he wants me to tag along.. haha.. i got your number love :P)
since we're on the topic of CPR...
CPR sure aint easy to do... physically taxing. You have to do the compression for 1 min, non stop and 4cm deep! So deep and hard you can even crack the ribs.. of old folks especially.
oh guess who i met at the Civil Defence Exhibition? Aaron!
He's one of the organiser. Singapore is simply too small.
okay lah.. i'm getting tired of blogging.
going off to bed now.
work tomorrow... *sigh*......
