SPA with the gals!

SPA session with the gals yesterday was great! Pity we couldnt hang around at the place too long. The Ultimate - spa place was lovely.. Located at the penthouse of Shaw Centre, we enjoyed a nice view. My javanese massage was good... but boy, my shoulders are aching now........

The masseurs came out to bring us to our rooms. There was this particular big-sized lady in black which looked rather intimidating. SY pulled me to a side and whispered: "I wish 3 o'clock is not mine!" Lucky for her its not. When we finished with our spa, she asked me who had 3 o'clock. I looked at her and said: "me."

We all had a nice makan at Cream Bistro @ Pacific Plaza after. Their calamari rocks! We should go back again! Gave the gals their souvenirs from Paris.. i got them Zara lipgloss. They sure were excited over it.. haha. They were having fun choosing which color they like... i'm glad they like it :) Now they can show off their Zara lipgloss to their friends and colleagues... Singapore don't have okay. Haha. Yeah, sekali next month Singapore Zara decide to bring in the cosmetic range... hahhahaa. The italians sure love their Zara. All zara outlets i went to there were packed.. seriously packed and there weren't any sales going on.

Then after was LV SHOPPING! (window lah) The gals were all excited about it.. haha. It was fun just going to look-see even if we are not getting anything. I'm pleased to say.... i saved $200 getting my LV wallet in Paris!! Zack saved $200 too.... I need to check out Gucci now.

There is something on my list... i will so get it... sooner or later. Later is fine... but it definitely will happen.. until i change my mind (if i ever do).

Gotta run now... Zack and i are going for Arnold's!!!

work 3 days.. off 1 day.

Just came back from grocery shopping. Cooking dinner tonight.. Seafood pasta! Shrimp, crab meat (real crab meat) and mushrooms as the main. Zack requested for cream based.. and that he shall get! I aim to please.. *wink*

The sky is really dark now so it'll rain any minute. Can't do any laundry now. Guess i'll do it tonight when zack comes back from work so i can wash his uniform too. He washed whites the last round so its darks now.

Today is Deepavali and no work for me! I slept in til 4pm.. could have slept longer but had to get up to do some chores and grocery shopping. Oh yes.. it is really back to reality. *Sigh*. House cleaning, pee/poo cleaning, laundry, work.. work and work. Had a bad morning at work yesterday. I guess my boss is the only reason why i'm still staying put. And of crse the paycheck.

Despite my grumblings, i am grateful for all i have. At least i have a job to come back too. A nice home to clean, 2 sweet darling dogs to clean after (my clothes are all intact so chile is receiving lesser scoldings and smackings), clothes to wear. I reckon you appreciate vacations much more when you work hard for it. And trips are more enjoyable when you don't have to count pennies at every turn and you can go to restaurants with table setting of 4 wine glasses at your whim and fancies. We already got a few trips in the pipeline for next year ! Wanderlust.. Wanderlust!

Just got news that a gf is preg! this is so exciting!

Seems like everyone is getting pregnant! It's always so joyous and exciting to hear of someone's pregnancy. My dear Kel is also gonna be a mother, she should be into her 5th month. And 2 other gfs got hit too. It's going around.. its going around! I sure hope my sis will join the league soon. It's high time!

While its exciting thinking about it, it sure is scary too. Your whole life will change.. and nothing will ever be the same again.

Alright.. Enough of babytalk.. it's getting me excited/nervous ;P

couldnt wake up this morning. Only managed to doze off at 5am though i'd been in bed since 3.30am. Downpouring last night so it was real good to sleep. Or perhaps i just don't want the night to end so soon......

Felt strange to take the train to work this morning. Everything seems so surreal. For awhile i forgot i had to alight at Outram Park.. haha. *sigh*

I'm suffering from severe honeymoon withdrawal symptoms.

and i miss having zack by my side.

Anyway, while i'm occupying my time enjoying my spoils.. taking them out of their boxes and putting them back in again.. i took some shots. This is probably the only time i'll be LV and Gucci overload! I decided to be a good gal and leave the LV bag til next time. $1.5K for a bag... is still hard for me to stomach. Not when i've already got 2 Gucci and 1 LV sitting in my luggage.. and 1 Furla bag. Zack said he actually felt bad when i wasnt going to buy the LV bag (he thought i was going home bag-less) until he remembered i got 1 Furla stalled away in my luggage. Dammit. Why did he have to remember... maybe... he'd feel bad enough to buy me the LV bag! Hahahaha.. no lah, i'm a prudent wife remember?

We are back! Mixed feelings...... mixed.
While we wanna stay in lovey dovey-mooney eyes land longer.. we are also happy to be back home. It feels so goooood when we made our first step into our home. Truly.. there's no place like home. No bed like ours....

Touched down at 7pm and my sweet sister was waiting for us at the departure gate *grin*. Both she and Andrew came to fetch us without telling us.. a lovely surprise! I bought the most stuff for her so she'd better treat me good... hahahaha. Nevertheless i'm touched.... :)

After 14 hours of flight and 2 hour transit, i'm ready to conked out. But we unpacked our luggage, tidied the house a bit, went for our long overdue fix of chinese food then off to pick the 2 gals. Oh i miss them! Even naughty little chile... *squeeze them both tight*

So tomorrow we'll be getting a replacement sim card and a new hp.. *sigh*bummed* My sis and zack had both offered to buy me the hp. Arent they sweet? *touched* But i'm not allowing them to do so. It's my negligence, i should pay for it. I'm hoping the insurance can at least cover the cost of the hp.

I'm beat so i'll leave the trip report for later. We got 1200 plus pics to upload and 5-6 tapes of footage! It'll take awhile. Meanwhile, i'll just go take a shower then full blast the aircon in our bedroom... get under the quilt and savour our spoils (in brown boxes!) *grins*

We are in PARIS!!!

it's just past midnight and we are into our 3rd day in Paris!

Paris is so incredibly beautiful.... i don't wanna leave!!!!!

we just had a good soak in the jacuzzi, yes we have one in our room! Perfect after a day of walking. Our hotel is incredible... seriously. Big jacuzzi with lights, designer toilet taps and the winner, fibre optic lights just above our bed! it's like stars twinkling down at us. It's the perfect honeymoon room *beams* and we get to use the internet for free for any amount of time.

Dinner was great.. we had mussels at this restaurant Zack found on his 1st trip to Paris years before. Food was really good! We are going back there for more mussels tomorrow. Then we went to the Latin Quarter in search for Cafe Egyptian for some shisha. Nice cosy ambience but Zack said the shisha aint too good. Peppermint tea was good though. We then walked around the Latin Quarter (5th arrondissement) and enjoyed the neighbourhood. More locals and more of a residential area. Ended up at the Seine River.. it's totally gorgeous at night. We just kept walking.. enjoying the sights.. the brisk cold air.. munching on warm crepes. Awesome.

Visited the Lourve today and checked out Ms Mona Lisa. You should see the crowd, we took pictures. I feel silly being one of them.. haha. Then to Arc D'Triomphe and climbed to the top. Did plenty of climbing these 2 weeks! The view was spectacular just a pity it was drizzling so couldnt enjoy much. After was shopping along champs elysees!!!!

You'll be surprised Zack was more excited about LV shopping.. haha. Guess what he told me? "We are in Paris, you should get LV!" Boy.. how i love him! *muaks muaks* He actually searched out all the addresses of the LV outlets in Paris! When we stepped into the largest LV boutique in Paris, my stomach dropped all the way to my toes. I kid you not. That place.. it's incredible. Louis Vuitton of all shapes and sizes! A gorgeous white epi leather wallet. IT'S MINE NOW! *grins* I'm still thinking if i should get that epi leather bag... I didnt intend to get an LV bag so i used my honeymoon present ticket in Florence.. and Zack already bought me a Gucci wristlet. He is the sweetest thing :) I got him a Gucci keypouch. Oh, you'll be interested to know that Gucci originates from Florence. We didnt know that so hey, we got our Gucci spoils from its origins! Cool!

TOMORROW?

We have a reservation at Les Ombre! It's one of the best restaurant in Paris apparently with the awesome view of the Eiffel Tower and Seine River. We can only afford lunch cos dinner is at a whopping price of £90 per pax! That's the equivalent of approximately SGD400 for 2 of us! No way are we spending so much on food!

Next will be to Palace of Versailles then Eiffel Tower at dusk. Praying for good weather.

Havent plan anything for the morning yet. Its so funny that we only realised on our 2nd day that we are 1 hour ahead of Paris time! (Italy is) And we thought the clocks at the metro were faulty! - they usually are okay. hahahahha! We couldnt stop laughing at how silly we were when we think back about the comments we made.

We have been eating so much i think we have both put on a pound or 2.. but its okay cos we are on our honeymoon! Let's eat and be merry! *beams*

2 more days in Paris.... that's all i've left to convince Zack that Paris is in need of paramedics.......

Gotta go now.. shant leave my hubby alone for too long. Nites~

Zack and Ju in Venice!

AWESOME!!!!!

We are in Venice.. 6:40pm in the evening. Rained the whole of today so we get to experience acqua alta - high tide. Planks are set up around Venice as there is flood. Quite a bummer but it is still all good! Sure is romantic walking arm in arm in the rain (with brolly of crse) and sipping hot cuppacino in nice cosy cafes. Frigging cold.. probably 12 degrees and vapour when we breathe out. Fun! Oh guess wat? The italians can bring their dogs into the cafe! I miss pappe :( Hope she is not tearing. Dad told us she was tearing the last time we went on hol. Bought them dogfood from Florence.. haha. Venice is beautiful and we got the loveliest hotel!

Anyway, Florence was AWESOME! My favourite Italian city.. Venice is beautiful but too many tourists.. you would think you are in the states with all the americans around. Bummer.

Rome was lovely with beautfiul buildings but i fell prey to those blardee gypsy kids. Wat joy. Handphone gone so ppl, please dont call nor msg me. Line suspended for the time being. Heart aches cos that is my bday present from zack :( Sigh... hard lesson learnt.

Alright, gotta go soon. Going for a nice dinner. We have been spending most of our money on food! Not sick of italian food yet.. haha.

Zack and i were at compass point this afternoon getting some toiletries and snacks.. and borrowed some travel guides. The excitement was so tangible and we just couldn't stop talking about it! *dance*grin*skip*bigger grin*

I feel we are so blessed.. so incredibly blessed. We give glory to God for everything we've got.. everything are blessings from him. I've never dreamt that we'll be able to go on an Europe honeymoon. Or maybe i did but never thought it'll ever materialise. And it did!

Received many msgs from friends wishing me bon voyage. Thanks guys! :) Yeah, we'll sure have a blast! Jeez.. 24/7 for 15 days... interesting to see how we fare living in such close proximity. This is REALLY 24/7! :D

oh oh... Zack said i'll be getting a honeymoon present!!! He said he'll buy me an LV BAG!!! *SCREAMS* aawww.... so sweeeeeeet.. *tears* There is only 1 LV bag i like (i like big bags so imagine the cost) and i'm not entirely sure i can bear for him to pay that sum. His money is also my money okay. But it's the thought that counts *smile* Of crse i'm still claiming my honeymoon present! Haha! See how it goes ya.. ;P

back from lunch with Evelyn. She just came back from her honeymoon in Europe. We had been exchanging pointers for our trip cos we are going to mostly the same places. Spent a nice 1.5 hours chatting and she gave me tons of heads up on places to eat, shop and goodness, things to buy! *be still my heart....* Like me, she had absolutely nothing in mind to get in Europe.. but once she was there.............

i was feeling kinda burnt out these days and this has certainly renewed my buzzzzzz!

So on friday night.. met up with SY and YY for drinks at the airport. Totally impromptu so only 3 of us could make it. It's been a long time since i had such a great time.. just simply bitching over drinks - chocolate cake for me. I guess with a big group of 6, its hard to really share cos its simply chaotic. Too many ppl talking at once. And the talk is mostly frivolous, hardly heart-to-heart. But friday night was great! We had great fun! When Zack picked me up at the airport (how sweet :)), i was in high spirits *beams*

The gals and i were talking about how some people opened a topic for conversation for an avenue to brag. Did you ever come across any of these people? It's pretty interesting. Like how they ask you 1 question concerning you then somehow maneuver the conversation to themselves.. and start their bragging. I have a few examples from some people but i shant mention it (Ju always play nice.. until she gets royally pissed). It ranges from our europe honeymoon to material things. While some people will call their bluff or tell them off, I usually just play along and let them brag and show off... and really, make a fool of themselves. I was really amused.. it only goes to show how insecure, egoistic and materialistic they are. Jealous and envious. I may be nice but i'm not dumb. I know when someone is genuinely happy and excited for me and when someone is simply green-eyed. To me, true friends will never be the latter. With all due modesty (and amusement), our lifestyle seems to be a yardstick for some people. And i wonder... why the need for competition?

*break* hanging out laundry.

Oh well.... heck with green-eyed monsters.

Guess what? I spent a total of 6 hours yesterday infront of the tv! It was an accomplishment for me. To begin with, i'm hardly someone who can sit infront of the tv for long hours with bags of chips, stuffing my face away.. i'm simply no couch potato. But ydae was an exception.. cos my favourite movies were on HBO! The Mummy (9pm), The Lakehouse (11pm), American Pie 2 (1am)! Awesome. And guess wat? I watched them alone! I usually only watch tv with zack and end up dozing off halfway through - he's like a drug to me (the sleepy kind!) - hahaha.. that's so lame.

think i'd take a nap for a couple of hours.. then get down to work.

dammit.. the communication network of the ants community in our home is frigging efficient! I'm blardee sure they are carrying walkie talkies!

he sounded so happy :) It's a baby girl.. and guess where was the delivery? At Changi Beach! Talk about romantic scenic ambience... hahaha. Isn't it utterly meaningful delivering a newborn into this world.. the sheer joy of the occasion and that exhilarating moment :) Yes, he is certified to do so and this is his first. I'm so proud of you laogong! *muaks* :)

9.30pm on a sunday night...
just had a nice cool shower after washing a pile of dishes. Cooked a nice dinner for zack.. he's working tonight *pout*

i'm kinda tired and lethergic. No idea why cos i woke up at 5pm! Slept at 2am last night but sleep was fraught with dreams. Rapid brain activity. Zack said i made noises in my sleep and he had to 'sayang' me before i'd relax and quiet down. He was entertained though.. hahaha.

It rained this afternoon so it was mighty good to sleep in. We woke up at 10am and ordered Mac bfast then back to bed couple of hrs later. I had no intention of waking so early but my dear husband's bio clock is a tad screwed now. He wakes up at the weirdest times and i've always been a light sleeper. (Not that he let me sleep in peace too.. haha)

Feeling kinda achy... hmmm.....

its one hot and humid night so i'm enjoying this lovely refreshing ice-cold peppermint tea Zack made for our dinner. He made sugar syrup separately! You'd think just add sugar? Think again.


While i'm in charge of dinner, he has taken charge of the drink.

This weekend.... what is ju up to?
KTV with my gals! - not that i sing lah. I just tag along and join in the fun. The room they gave us was huge and blardee cold! Those freeze-your-ass cold!

But my... the gals are songbirds! They belt out song after song... in CHINESE.

Hmmm... i kinda miss them.. and our shisha sessions @ Mark's basement. How i'd just curl up on the couch after a few puffs and doze off. It's interesting what you hear when the guys tot u're asleep.. hahahaha!

I've been like a hermit of late. Busy with my stuff and the only ppl i actually have some form of interaction/communication with are my gals and mark and fu on msn some nights (i'm a hermit on msn too). We meet Chris for movies too. Thing is... i'm somewhat enjoying the solitude.

So today is...... our 3 YEARS 3 MONTHS Anniversary! *beams*
It's strange how it's only been 3 over years and yet it seems like we've come a long way. On the other hand, it feels like wow, it's 3 over years already! There is always something exciting happening or to look forward to. Things are never boring around here. Life is great! - the best ever *grins*

A colleague told me i look more radiant after my wedding.. like i have a glow. I went home and looked for that glow in the mirror. I was amused.. a glow! hahahaha!

oh oh.. in the midst of all happenings, i forgot to blog about this.

Our wedding invite was showcased at a Fort Canning Bridal Show! Yes, the ACTUAL CARD.. with our names on it. Cool ya?! But hey, what about copyrights?? We did the entire card from scratch.. wordings and all from a blank Word document.. and Zack came out with the poem.. Fu helped us with the pic *hug hug fu*.. and the shop took credit for it? However, on the other hand.. we are/should be proud that our card was even showcased.

been sleeping rather early (before midnight) the last couple of nights and yet i'm still feeling tired during the day. Strange. Mind over matter i say.

Mind overload. I got so many channels in my head.. changing from one to the other sporadically is exhausting!

and.. my wardrobe is falling apart.... i had such grand dreams *sigh*
i'm sad... so sad.

why is it the things i fall in love with.. are always so impractical? Not to mention... costly. *sigh*

Yeah! this is the shades Scott Summers (Cyclops) in X-Men wore. It's so incredibly COOL! Zacky's 2nd birthday present *grins*. Jeez.. at the rate he is going, he's not gonna get any bday present in Dec. I think i spoil him rotten sometimes (ok ok, he pampers me tons too).. imagine, a Zara coat AND a Juliet. It has to stop. Ok, no more presents for him now. Budget reached.

so let me tell you about my virgin ebay experience!
Auction was at 5.19am this morning. So zack stayed up for it (so sweet right?) and woke me up 9mins before it started. There were already 11 bids by then. 'Buy It Now' Price was US$159.99 and we managed to hit the Reserve Price of US$139.99 (the lowest price the seller is willing to sell it for).

AND WE WON!!!

I was a tad disappointed there werent any bidders tussling with us towards the end. I always enjoy a good healthy fight and emerged the winner of crse *lol* But we did win the item at the reserve price so i'm not complaining. Singapore is retailing at $386.. so imagine a cost savings of more than 100 bucks!

I must admit that it sure was thrilling.. especially during the last 2 mins. Zack was at the wheels while i was grabbing him tightly in excitement.. holding my breath during the last 10 secs while we kept refreshing the page.. So fun!

to zack: We're gonna be 2 monkeys! Bleh! (private joke)
